The endoprosthesis itself is composed of the shaft, the head and the socket. During implantation of classic prosthesis it is firstly completly removed the femoral head. After that the socket is placed in an appositly created location on the pelvis and we proceed to work on the femur in which the shaft of the prosthesis will be placed. Next, we position the head on the shaft (the head can be either ceramic or metal) and reposition the joint.
