Dear colleagues and Symposium participants!

We have carried on the tradition of organizing Symposiums on arthroscopy, sports medicine and knee arthroplasty for several years now in Opatija due to the growing need for permanent following of the latest findings and achievements in the relevant fields.

The Symposium is organized in cooperation and with a great help of ESSKA and, in a way, it is a ‘small ESSKA’ here by us. This organization deals with the developments of the most recent findings and achievements in the fields of arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine and knee surgery.

We have decided to focus on the knee matters this time. After the topic on surgery of soft tissues such as meniscs, cartilage and ligaments we are going to deal more fully with inventions of corrective Osteotomies nowadays. Logical sequence leads to the indications and implantation techniques of partial endoprosthesis. At the end will be worked out
many interesting topics on primary knee arthroplasty. Revision arthroplasty won’t be avoided either. In such a way will be summarized the most important topics on knee surgery today.

Lectures will be given by the most eminent domestic and international experts in the field. The Symposium will be held in the premises of a splendid hotel in eternally magical Opatija which will not only enable good working conditions, but will also give everyone opportunity to refresh old acquaintaces and friendships as well as to establish new ones too.
